Choose how your store is set up
The two common Laundroworks setups for laundromats. Either way, a VAC and Laundroworks readers are part of the store: this decides how coins fit alongside them, not whether hardware is needed.
Value Add Center (VAC)
One kiosk, configured for how your store takes payment.
The VAC is where customers load value onto a loyalty card or buy a new one. It comes in a few configurations depending on what payment types your store accepts.
VAC, All-in-one
The all-in-one VAC pairs a 15-inch touchscreen with hardened anti-vandal glass and an intuitive customer interface. It accepts credit and debit (chip, mag stripe and contactless including Apple Pay) plus cash through a bill acceptor, dispenses loyalty cards, and prints receipts. Back-opening door.
Card reader
One reader on every machine.
The card reader installs at each machine and accepts a tap from a Laundroworks loyalty card or a phone running the LaundryCat app.
Loyalty cards
Stored-value cards, generic or branded to your store.
Customers load value onto a tap-to-pay card at the VAC and use it at any machine. Generic cards are available for smaller orders, and custom-printed cards with your own branding are available at higher order quantities.
LaundryCat
Customers pay with a tap of their phone.
LaundryCat is Laundroworks' customer app: the same NFC tap as a loyalty card, now from a phone. Customers load funds with a card or mobile wallet, or add cash at the VAC and see the balance update instantly. Push notifications and a live countdown let them start a load and walk away.
LaundryCat is a paid add-on, not something every Laundroworks store includes automatically, and it works alongside your VAC and readers, not instead of them.

Installation requirements depend on your store, your machines, and which implementation type you choose.
Self installation
Some setups can be installed by the operator. Whether self installation is appropriate depends on the equipment involved. It isn't available for every configuration.
